List Guidelines and Terms of
Use:
- The Seth Boyden
Demonstration School email list,
known as the SBstrawberryfields
elist, is for Seth Boyden
parents, teachers, and staff to
make announcements and to share
information about activities and
events of interest to the Seth
Boyden community at large.
Please do not use it for issues
of interest to a specific
classroom or a handful of
families.
- Posters should note that
something less than half of the
Seth Boyden community has
elected to join the elist, so
for school wide announcements,
the list should be used in
addition to other methods
(backpack distribution,
in-school announcement) of
communication, not in place of
them.
- This list is not intended
for discussion, debate, gossip,
opinions, or questions of a
general nature. Specific
questions about
events/activities?e.g. meeting
times, rain dates--are
acceptable. Individual or other
general questions should be
directed to an appropriate
school or PTA official.
- All messages should include
the sender?s name at the end of
the message.
- In email, messages in all
capital letters indicate
shouting. Do not use all capital
letters except for acronyms such
as PTA, BOE, SOMSD.
- In keeping with the terms
above, any statements about, to,
or against any individuals are
not acceptable. Informational
statements about, or statements
of thanks to, people in public
roles (e.g. event leaders,
administrators, PTA officers)
are permissible.
- As with other directories
compiled by the PTA, this list
may not be used for any direct
or indirect commercial or
political purposes, including
PTA and Board of Education
elections.
- Any poster who fails to
abide by these guidelines will
be reminded and/or warned by the
moderator. Repeat violations
will lead to suspension or
removal from the list. Flame
wars may lead to the temporary
shut down of the list.
- Decisions about appropriate
use of the list will be made by
the moderator, in consultation
with the chair(s) of the
Communications committee and/or
the PTA president, if needed.

To start sending messages to
members of this group, simply
send email to
SBstrawberryfields@yahoogroups.com
If you do not wish to belong
to SBstrawberryfields, you may
unsubscribe by sending a blank
email to
SBstrawberryfields-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
* Responses to a message will
go only to the sender of the
original message. If you wish
your response to be sent to the
entire list you need to add
SBstrawberryfields@yahoogroups.com
to your contacts/address list.
*Please notify the moderator
if you wish to add or change an
address at which you receive
your emails. The moderator for
the 2006-2007 school year is
